Heat Exposure
Our natural butters are made without fillers or stabilisers, which means they respond to warmth. Here is what to expect, and how to bring them back to their best.
Temperature Sensitivity Notice
Kindly note that natural butters and whipped products are heat-sensitive. Sheabliss cannot control temperatures during third-party courier handling, customs delays, or storage at the customer’s address.
No refunds or replacements will be issued for products that have melted, deflated, or become grainy due to heat exposure, as product quality and safety remain intact.
We will do our possible best to get the butters to you at the right temperature.
To Restore
Chill to firm
Place the sealed jar in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours until firm.
If grainy
Allow to soften at room temperature, stir well, and refrigerate again.
What Heat Does to Whipped Shea Butter
Melts / Deflates
Whipped shea is butter + air. Above 30°C it melts, loses the fluffy whip and becomes liquid/oil.
Grainy Texture When It Re-Solidifies
If it melts then cools unevenly in transit, it can become grainy – not bad, just cosmetic.
Oil Separation
Oils may separate to the top – this is normal.
It Is NOT Spoiled
It’s still 100% safe and effective, just the texture has changed. Just stir and refrigerate.
